Resilience in Action: U16s Rise to Glory

Our U16s have experienced a remarkable season! Starting from the bottom of the league with just eight players, the unwavering determination of both the players and coaches fueled an incredible comeback. Their hard work and dedication led the team to triumph, securing a spot in not one, but two cup finals. What an inspiring journey!

What makes this achievement even more impressive is how the team overcame early setbacks. With a severely short squad, every match felt like a mountain to climb. But rather than give in, the players rose to the challenge showing up week after week, supporting each other, and giving 100% on the pitch.

The coaching staff played a key role, keeping morale high and pushing the team to believe in their potential. Together, they built a strong foundation based on unity, discipline, and relentless effort. As new players joined and the team started to gel, performances improved dramatically.

From underdogs to contenders, our U16s grew stronger with every game. They turned close defeats into hard-fought wins and earned the respect of every team they faced. Their passion, work ethic, and resilience became the heartbeat of their success.

Now, with two cup finals ahead, the journey continues. No matter the outcome, this season has already been a huge victory, a testament to what can be achieved through teamwork, perseverance, and belief. We couldn’t be prouder of our young stars. Let’s finish strong!

U10s Crowned Divisional Cup Champions After Stunning Season

We are proud to announce that our Under 10s team has been crowned Divisional Cup Champions for the 2024/25 season, a remarkable achievement that reflects the hard work, dedication, and talent of our young players and coaching staff.

This well-earned victory in the cup final marks the high point of what has been an unforgettable season for the U10s. From the first kick-off in early autumn to the final whistle of the season, the squad has consistently demonstrated maturity beyond their years, combining defensive discipline, creative attacking play, and a fantastic team spirit.

A Season of Hard Work and Big Moments

The journey to the top hasn’t been easy. Each match brought its challenges, but the U10s responded every time with focus and resilience. Week after week, they showed growth in both individual skill and collective teamwork, with every player stepping up when it mattered most.

Their cup final performance was no exception. The team controlled the game with confidence and composure, executing set plays with precision and defending as a tight unit. It was a complete performance that sealed the title in style.

More Than Just a Trophy

While the win itself is cause for celebration, the deeper value lies in what this moment represents. It reflects not just the potential of this U10s group, but also the effectiveness of our youth development programme, an environment where young athletes are supported to grow as players and as people.

Thank You to Everyone Behind the Scenes

This success wouldn’t be possible without the support of families, volunteers, and staff who contribute so much behind the scenes — from getting players to training on time, to cheering them on from the sidelines, rain or shine.

As we wrap up the season, we extend a heartfelt thank you to every parent, coach, and supporter who played a part in this incredible journey.

Looking Ahead

The U10s will enjoy a well-earned break before returning to training for the new season. With a strong foundation now in place — and a trophy to show for their efforts — the future looks very bright for this talented group of young players.

Congratulations once again to our U10 Divisional Cup Champions! 🏆

Malik’s U9 Tottenham EDC Trial

At the heart of our youth development programme lies a simple but powerful goal: to nurture young footballers who have the potential to compete at the highest level.

Today, we are proud to celebrate one such moment: one of our exceptionally talented U9 players, Malik’s Tottenham EDC trial, a milestone that highlights his personal development and impressive skills and dedication that have led him to participate in this opportunity.

Tottenham EDC Trial: A Milestone for Malik

From the first few weeks of the 2024/25 season, Malik, one of our exceptionally talented U9 players, has stood out with a rare combination of technical skill, match awareness, and unwavering commitment. His consistency on the pitch has impressed not just our coaching staff but also professional scouts from Premier League academies.

This month, his hard work paid off in a big way. Malik received an invitation to attend a Tottenham Hotspur FC Elite Development Centre (EDC) trial. This prestigious opportunity places him among some of the most promising young talents in the country.

Tottenham EDC Trial

A Breakthrough Season Defined by Discipline and Drive

Malik’s rise has not happened by chance. It’s the result of focused training, love for the game, and the structured environment provided by our academy. Whether it’s match day or a midweek session, Malik consistently trains with intensity and intelligence.

He’s known for:

  • Quick footwork

  • Sharp game reading

  • Intelligent positioning

  • Resilience under pressure

These attributes have made him a key part of our U9 team and a role model for others in his age group.

More Trials Ahead: What Comes After Tottenham?

Malik’s trial at the Tottenham EDC is just one step in what could be a remarkable journey. He has also been shortlisted for trials with other Premier League clubs in the coming weeks, a true testament to both his raw talent and the effectiveness of our development model.

This string of opportunities doesn’t just spotlight Malik’s promise; it reinforces the idea that when the right support systems are in place, young athletes can thrive.

Our Development Model: Producing Players Ready for the Next Level

Malik’s Tottenham EDC trial is not an isolated event. It reflects a growing trend in our academy, where an increasing number of players are being noticed by professional clubs.

Our academy’s strength lies in its dual-focus approach:

  1. Technical mastery: ball control, passing, shooting, movement.

  2. Character development: discipline, teamwork, humility, mental strength.

“What we’re seeing with Malik is exactly what we aim for,” said Coach Malique, Club Coach. “We want to give players the kind of foundation that prepares them for elite opportunities, both in footballing skill and mindset. Malik proves that if you stay consistent, the opportunities come.”

Support Behind the Scenes

As Malik prepares for his upcoming trials, both with Tottenham and other clubs, our coaches continue to provide holistic support:

  • Tactical mentoring

  • Fitness guidance

  • Emotional encouragement

  • Parent engagement sessions

He remains an active member of our U9 squad, balancing the excitement of these trials with his day-to-day commitment to team training and weekend fixtures.

Why Malik’s Journey Matters to Every Player in Our Academy

Malik’s story serves as a powerful example for every young player wearing our kit. It proves that success is a combination of effort, environment, and opportunity. His trial at the Tottenham EDC has become a symbol of what’s possible when talent meets the right level of support.

It’s also a moment of pride for our coaching staff, who continue to invest in developing not just footballers, but confident, respectful, and motivated young individuals.

What’s Next? Staying Grounded, Staying Focused

No matter the outcome of his Tottenham EDC trial or future assessments, Malik has already achieved something extraordinary. And yet, this is just the beginning.

We’ll continue to support his growth on and off the pitch and use his story to inspire a new generation of young players within our academy.

Congratulations, Malik, we’re proud of you!

Under 8’s Cheshunt Youth Football League Winners

Our U8 Tigers dominated the game from start to finish. GFA Enfield tried to play a very physical game, often playing the
player, rather than the ball. The ball movement of our Tigers was too
much for GFA to handle on the day. The entire team played well, with Kelechi scoring two and Viktor adding the 3rd, in a 3-1 victory.
Aaron was our stand out player receiving a deserved Man of Match Award.
